When Diana Malouf was a little girl, her uncle brought her a shoebox full of candies from Lebanon. Her young mind boggled at the seemingly endless array of flavors, textures and colors, which stretched the limits of her imagination and introduced her to the very wide world of confections.
In 2009, Diana officially launched Ococoa as a way to share her passion and creations with others, beginning with her signature Butter Cup Collection, which features nine unique flavors and has been named one of “America’s Best Chocolates” by Bon Appetit Magazine.
Letterpress Chocolate is a small batch bean to bar chocolate company, handcrafting their single origin chocolate with the best cacao beans they can find. They carefully sort and roast to bring out the fullest potential of the flavor profile, and grind in stone melangeurs for at least 48 hours before pouring into storage to age for at least a month.
They work with sustainable agroforestry and biodiverse ecosystems, and in many cases, the farms and co-ops they work with are Organic certified. Their unrefined cane sugar is always Organic certified and they do not use soy, wheat, or dairy. All of their bars are vegan friendly.
Ludivine Paris specializes in authentic, traditional – and amazing – French pastries such as Financiers, Canales, Tarts, Biscottis, Sponge Cakes, Madeleine, Chocolate Mousse, Coconut Macaroons, and many other goodies.
Born and raised in Paris, France, Ludivine moved to Los Angeles, California. At home, in her little kitchen, Ludivine began to bake. As her kids were little, she started to miniaturize these pastries so they could be easier to eat.
She was caught by surprise by the success of her delicious pastries among family, friends and neighbors. They strongly encouraged her to share her passion with the world.
During various trips back to Paris, Ludivine took classes at prestigious pastry schools there, and finally listened to her friends’ advice to follow her dream. In October 2014 she opened her business in Los Angeles: Ludivine Paris.
